Stephen Morris Scouting Report

QB STEPHEN MORRIS 602 210, Miami

Intriguing late bloomer with great arm talent.

Possesses an excellent arm with top zip.

Accurate on the run, especially to his right.

Flashes with stunningly difficult throws into tight spots.

Has not been consistently efficient over the course of his career.

Would like to see him survey the field, go through his progressions more consistently.

Athletic enough to take off for yardage.

Shawn Jackson Scouting Report

LB SHAWN JACKSON 600 255, Tulsa

Underrated, dominant do-it-all playmaker.

Unique athlete; doesn’t necessarily look the part.

Great bulk. Lacks great height and is not in the best looking physical condition.

Very good range and burst to the ball. Balance.

True playmaker in all facets of defensive football.

Top read and react skills. Productive playmaker in pass coverage.

Great filling running lanes as well as shedding blocks.

Elite pass rusher with versatility to traditionally rush from the outside as well as blitz from classic linebacker positions.

Impact hitter.

Infectious attitude with a great motor.

C.J. Mosley Scouting Report

LB C.J. MOSLEY 602 235, Alabama

Very athletic, disruptive and playmaking linebacker.

Excellent athlete with nice speed, body control and explosiveness. Great range.

Physical, strong at the point of attack.

Top notch in coverage for a linebacker.

Follows the quarterback’s eyes and is consistently a playmaker on the ball.

Good leverage.

Great shedding blocks.

Lacks a push and not imposing; can be engulfed, but is tough and does not get bullied.

Taylor Hart Scouting Report

DT TAYLOR HART 605 295, Oregon

Versatile and excellent inside pass rusher and 3-4 end prospect.

Strong upper body. Leaner body type.

Great athlete for his size.

Physical; really pushes the pocket backwards.

Difficult to block inside.

Penetrates, gets skinny, splits gaps and combines this with a great push and bull rush.

Versatile; was played all over the line, even standing up at times.

Not a true edge rusher; lacks great straight line speed and displays some stiffness.

Plays a little upright.

Maybe best as a 3-4 end.

James Hurst Scouting Report

OT JAMES HURST 606 310, North Carolina

Super consistent and effective player overall.

Flashes good overall athleticism with nice feet and flexibility to wall off pass rushers.

Strength to anchor and hold up versus power.

Doesn’t necessarily have the longest arms.

Plays with good knee bend and overall leverage.

Excellent run blocker with combo of positioning and mauling ability.

Gets a great push and is very powerful at the point of attack.

Kareem Martin Scouting Report

DE KAREEM MARTIN 605 265, North Carolina

Well built, strong end lacking elite skills and production.

Long, tips ball at the line.

Good pad level. Plays with very good power.

Decent athlete. Pretty good burst and get-off. Enough speed to win on the edge.

Active hands. Effective versus the run.

Very effective winning on the inside shoulder of offensive tackles.

Maybe not the most flexible or dynamic athlete in space.

Has not been as productive as expected; not quite a high volume sack guy.

Jason Hendricks Scouting Report

S JASON HENDRICKS 600 185, Pittsburgh

Playmaker and hitter that may lack elite athleticism.

A little lean.

Not necessarily an elite athlete; lacks great speed but has some quick feet.

Maybe not as fluid.

Aggressive, physical hitter.

Very good open field tackler.

Very good special teamer.

Nice feel and break on the ball.

Playmaker with natural ball skills.

Always around the ball.
